The Poison Information Center – Miami

Funded by the Florida Department of Health, and in partnership with the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine/Jackson Health System, the Poison Information Center provides poisoning emergency assistance and answers poison-related questions over the phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Poison Center also provides educational materials to teach families how to protect their homes (children, adults and animals) about the dangers of poison. Calls to the Poison Center Information Line (1-800-222-1222) are free, confidential, and available in English and Spanish. A shuttle service is available for speakers of other languages.
